Privacy Policy

Celesiq is designed to be usable without creating an account. This policy explains what information may be used by the site, including local viewing location features and advertising disclosures for Google AdSense.

Information you choose to provide

You may enter a city, country or coordinates to calculate local sky visibility. The app stores your selected viewing location in your browser's local storage so it can be remembered on your device. You can clear this data by changing the location, clearing site data in your browser, or clearing local storage.

If you use the contact form, the information you submit, such as your name, email address and message, is used only to respond to your request, correct issues, review feedback or handle privacy and credit questions.

Geocoding and location services

If you enter a place name while the site is hosted online, the app may use a third-party geocoding service to convert that place name into coordinates. If you choose "Use my location", your browser asks for permission before sharing approximate device location with the page. Celesiq uses that location only for local visibility calculations.

Cookies, local storage and advertising

Celesiq may use local storage to remember map settings, selected objects and viewing location. If Google AdSense is enabled on the live website, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Users may also visit aboutads.info to learn about opting out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising.

Analytics and external links

The current static app does not require an account login. The website may link to external space agency, mission, image or data-source pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies and are responsible for their own content and data practices.
